This ToR is for a candidate to apply for ICM’s Admin & Technical Assistant to the Wind Team (Admin Assistant, Community Outreach Assistant & Technical Support) at Infra Capital Myanmar Re-Ex

• (1) Wind Power Project Admin Assistant,
Assisting with document drafting and preparation, translations, filing, scanning, documentation of receipts; record keeping in Microsoft excel;
• (2) Wind Power Project Community Outreach Assistant:
Acting as Grievance Officer, Education Coordinator & Community Outreach Officer;
• (3) Wind Power Project Technical Support**:
Assisting for data collection and analysis; filling in with desktop work while the team is in the field.** (only applicable if the applicant has a technical background)

Community Engagement to Promote the Productive and Safe Use of Rural Mini-grid Systems in Myanmar

Infra Capital Myanmar – ReEx (ICMRE), a project development company with offices in Yangon and Singapore, wishes to retain the services of a suitably qualified consultant (Consultant) to provide community engagement services to Promote the Productive and Safe Use in two pilot sites in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions.

ICMRE develops infrastructure projects for Myanmar on behalf of InfraCo Asia Development (“IAD”), a commercially-managed infrastructure development and investment company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (“PIDG”). IAD’s Myanmar programme is funded by the UK’s Department for International Development. ICMRE originates, develops and finances infrastructure projects in Myanmar aiming to stimulate greater private sector investment. ICMRE brings these projects to a stage whereby they can attract domestic and international finance.  The sectors targeted by ICMRE are: Sustainable energy (renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste to energy), Transport and logistics (road infrastructure, urban planning, logistics value chain), Agriculture and agri-support (fisheries, agricultural farming, cold storage) and Rural development (power infrastructure, rural electrification, water and sanitation).

This request for proposal (“RFP”) is to identify a suitably experienced consultant to develop, deliver and monitor community engagement activities that promote the productive and safe use of rural mini-grids in two villages equipped with two off-grid solar-diesel hybrid power systems in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions of Myanmar.

Project Manager – Mini-Grids Development

Position Summary
Position Title: Project Manager – Mini-Grids
Office Location: Yangon (travel to different Myanmar States expected)

Main Responsibility: The Project Manager for Mini-Grids development will be responsible for delivering four
major tasks required for the development of rural electrification projects within a specified timeline and
budget:
• Construction of pilot mini-grids under the ABC model in different states of Myanmar according to
agreed standards
• Relationship with the project stakeholders and Company’s partners
• Managing the project budget, monitoring progress and risks and reporting to HQ
• Managing scale-up phase and related commercial negotiations
Contract Period: One year, extendable
Start Date: August 2018

Myanmar Rice Vermicelli Production Facility

Infra Capital Myanmar-ReEx, on behalf of InfraCo Asia, has developed a pre-commercialised Rice Vermicelli Production Facility, which will seek to expand the production capacity of a proven Asian strategic partner, in Myanmar.  ICM-ReEx has also lined up alongside this regionally successful strategic partner, a capable local partner, with good reputation and deep networks within relevant distribution channels. 

Opportunity

ICM-ReEx now seeks the participation of financial partner(s) with a long term view of investing in Myanmar, to commercialising this project, as the first in a string of similar facilities.

Myanmar Aquafeed Production Facility

Infra Capital Myanmar-ReEx, on behalf of InfraCo Asia, has developed a pre-commercialised brownfield Aquafeed project that would produce industrial quality, high-value fish feed for local and export consumption. As the aquaculture industry is forecasted to grow tremendously in the coming years, there is likely to be a great increase in fish feed required by fish farmers to produce fish faster and of better quality.

Opportunity

ICM-ReEx now seeks the participation of a strategic partner in commercialising this project, and welcomes the collaboration of a professional aquafeed producer with a strong track record and aligned interest, to grow the market in Myanmar.
